G.A.N.G. Sponsor Krotos was also present at the event demoing their new software Reformer. Krotos creator Orfeas Boteas noted about Develop:

It was great seeing people’s reactions when we were demoing Reformer at Develop; we received incredible feedback. Develop is one of the best conferences for video games in the UK and being a part of it is always good fun.

Reformer: The Future of Sound Design
Exclusive Member Discount for a Limited Time Only
Using artificial intelligence and advanced signal analysis, Reformer makes it possible for sound designers to perform a library of sound effects with their voice or any other audio input.  In real-time, Reformer profiles the input audio, and then automatically sources from a palette of pre-analyzed library sounds to construct a new sound based precisely on that profile.  Unlike morphing one sound into another, there is no signal processing involved.  Instead, Reformer compares the input audio with every millisecond of the library sounds, intelligently chooses corresponding parts of the library sounds, and then organically forms a new sound.  All in real-time.

The Reformer plugin is free, users purchase our pre-analysed “micro” libraries, and can either use the libraries with Reformer, or use the sounds for any other purpose. Members of G.A.N.G. have been given an exclusive 50% discount on the Krotos bundle of libraries.

Paul Lipson, VP of Creative Services at Formosa Interactive, had a chance to demo Reformer at Develop. Paul added: “Reformer could just as easily be called “Revelation” for me – something that really stands out and is not another mundane tool or passing fad.  It was exciting to demo Reformer with the Krotos team at Develop, and I can’t wait to dig into all the sonic possibilities.  A brilliant first step into a new workflow – I’m excited!”
