Description: A short description about your blog |
I just started a blog. I'll be posting about music, video games, and the convergence of the two. My first blog post went up today - it's called "Organic Sound in a Virtual Environment." I hope you'll visit, and please leave a comment there. I'd really appreciate it!

I'm pleased to share that I've been interviewed by music critic Mark Morton of the National Soundtracks column of The Examiner. The interview discusses my music for Assassin's Creed III Liberation:

I have some great news that I wanted to share with my fellow G.A.N.G. members. I was interviewed by senior editor Kevin VanOrd of GameSpot for a profile article which is now featured on the home page of GameSpot.com.
The article discusses my career in the game industry, from my first job as a game composer to my latest project, Assassin's Creed III Liberation. You can read the article here:

Just wanted to share some really good news. Kotaku named the score of LittleBigPlanet 2 as one of the best video game soundtracks of the year! They posted YouTube videos for both of the tracks I wrote for the game - "Victoria's Lab" and "Eve's Asylum", and called these tracks their "favorites"!
Here's the link to the article from Kotaku:

Today, GameSpot posted a video interview with me on their video game music blog, "Sound Byte". I'd like to share it with you, and ask what you think:

Hello GANG,
I wanted to share some good news with you.
Last Friday, the International Film Music Critics Association announced its list of nominations for excellence in musical scoring in 2010, and I was nominated for an International Film Music Critics Award for my music for the Legend of the Guardians videogame. The annual IFMCA Awards are the only awards given to composers by film music journalists. Here's a link to a page on the AwardsDaily website that lists this year's nominees for the IFMCA awards:
IFMCA Nominees List - AwardsDaily

Music I wrote for the Legend of the Guardians videogame has already won a Hollywood Music in Media award.
I have some exciting news that I wanted to share with my fellow members of GANG. The music I composed for my last project, Spore Hero from Electronic Arts, has just been nominated for an International Film Music Critics Award!

The IFMCA announced its list of nominees today. Spore Hero is nominated in the "Best Original Score for a Video Game or Interactive Media" category.
Nominations are chosen by the members, who are composed solely of film music critics. The fact that they chose Spore Hero for recognition is really an honor. Winnie Waldron (my music producer on the project) and I are just thrilled!
If you want to read the full list of nominees, you'll find that here:
