It provides access to the advanced game audio features of ADX2 at an affordable price (US $99) for games running on Windows and/or Mac and using the Unity game engine.

The ADX2 plug-in can be used for commercial game development by all Unity developers, whatever the size of the project and the team, and there is no licensing cost other than the initial purchase price in the Unity Asset Store.

SCL/G.A.N.G. Hang at AES NY
GANG partnered with SCL on October 20th for a night of food, drinks, prizes, and networking at Beer Authority in New York City. The event was held at the end of AES NYC and was hugely successful, with a turnout of about 50 attendees throughout the night.

Something Else Music Distribution generously donated drink tickets for the first twenty-five members of GANG to arrive, and due to the turnout those tickets were quickly dispensed.

The raffle winner Phillip Stein was the lucky recipient of a prize package of plugins valued at over $2,500. The plugins were generously donated by GANG sponsors including Music Marketing, Sugarbytes, FabFilter, K Research, d16 Group, Polyverse and Acon Digital.
GANG would like to thank Mark Roos of SCL, Michelle Marbury, Billy Bell, and Risa Malkinson of Sumthing Else Music, Paul Fattahi of Music Marketing, and Sal Farina for sponsoring and helping out with the event. GANG would also like to thank Savina Ciaramella for putting together the prize package, Tom Salta for spearheading the event, and Spencer Bambrick, Bonnie Bogovich, Gina Zdanowicz, and Jason Kanter for helping out and promoting it to the NYC community.
NY Games Conference
A 1-day event held as part of New York Media Festival’s (NYME) 2-day event series, NY Games Conference is the leading event for senior representatives from game publishers, developers, movie studios, advertising firms, VCs, social networks, technology providers, analysts and press. Unlike some other industry events, NY Games Conference focuses on bringing together the people who really matter to meet in a lively yet intimate environment that allows access and privacy to build and grow relationships and partnerships.

G.A.N.G. Board Member, Tom Salta, was invited to speak at the conference and was part of a discussion on how to make successful games for mobile platforms.  “I always enjoy the opportunity to speak to audiences about the value of music in games and how, thanks to modern technology and the fact that music on mobile can sound just as good as it does on PC and Consoles, there’s never been a better time to take full advantage of what music can do to enhance the mobile gaming experience”.

XDS in Vancouver

From Chris Wren (Chair, XDS Advisory Committee):
XDS 2017 was a big milestone for us, being the 5th year anniversary of the event! We came from humble beginnings with 200 people attending in 2013, to a now sold-out crowd of 500+ industry professionals and service providers representing 38 countries internationally – all to advance the practice of external development for the games industry.

It was a treat to have the Formosa and Naughty Dog team up to deliver an excellent talk on “Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End – Winning with Distributed Audio Development”. It was clear from the presentation there was a seamless level of collaboration between both parties. Gone are the days of over-the-fence development as the partners demonstrated best practices in together creating a premier audio experience that has garnered critical acclaim.
