It’s very true. I think there’s also an inherent point of diminishing returns in all pieces of music. There comes a time when the track is basically done and any changes that you’re making are things that only you are going to know. You’re no longer improving the track. You’re just tending it, pruning it. Not a single general listener will know the difference, nor would even other audio professionals. It’s important to recognize when you reach that point and learn to walk away from the piece and call it done. It will save you time and stress.
