Savina Ciaramella has 25+ years of experience in the music industry from negotiations to production. Her career began in 1990 at Walt Disney Records in the A&R Department where she served as the Director of A&R Administration, Production Manager and Union Specialist. She established practices and processes resulting in a stronger foundation for the label that grew exponentially after the release of The Little Mermaid Soundtrack. She negotiated agreements, supervised recording sessions, created and monitored production budgets, handled all union matters, and developed award-winning records such as Disney’s Lullaby Album series and The Best of Country Sing the Best of Disney featuring Faith Hill, Alison Krauss and Tanya Tucker. During her tenure, she received 15 RIAA certified Gold, Platinum and Diamond Awards. After departing Disney in 2004, she managed established composers, songwriters and producers in the video game, film, TV and record industries. In 2007, Savina was appointed Director of the American Federation of Musicians by President Tom Lee. She supported over 240 local offices across the U.S. and Canada, and represented over 90,000 members. She quickly identified a growth opportunity in the Video Game Department and spearheaded the creation and implementation of a new streamlined video game agreement, which increased wages and benefits tenfold in her first year. As the Director of the Electronic Media Services Division, she led a team of 20 and administered agreements including Video Game, Motion Picture/TV Film, Student/Festival Film, Interactive/New Media, Theme Park and special agreements. She also served as the AFM spokesperson at award shows and was a frequent panelist at conferences and seminars. With her innovative concepts and strong people skills, she cultivated relationships with composers, film studios and video game companies, and advanced the objectives of the Federation while creating win-win opportunities for musicians, composers and producers. After departing the AFM in 2010, she coordinated scoring sessions for Skywalker Sound as an independent marketing manager and scoring liaison. Savina joined the executive team of the Game Audio Network Guild in January of 2015 serving as the Director of Sponsor Relations and Business Development. She was honored with the 2015 Distinguished Service Award at the 2016 G.A.N.G. Awards Show, and as of March 2016, she serves the members of G.A.N.G. as the Executive Director. Savina also holds a position at Formosa Interactive as the Director of Music Production.
