For the past 20 years, Cheryl Tiano has been an agent with The Gorfaine/Schwartz Agency, representing a star-studded composer roster for work in the interactive, film, and television industries. In addition to Mike Shinoda, the agency also represents the bands M83, 3OH!3, and artist/producer Glen Ballard. Prior to her work at The Gorfaine/Schwartz Agency, Cheryl studied original music composition at Berklee College of Music and California Institute of The Arts, where she also found a passion for the business side of the music industry. She then spent several years working with prestigious concert music organizations including the Monday Evening Concerts at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, which was very well-known around the world for its premiere performances of original concert works by 20th Century composing icons. In keeping with the high standards of The Gorfaine/Schwartz Agency, Ms. Tiano’s main focus is representing extraordinary composers for all forms of visual media. She believes interactive entertainment is the entertainment of choice for the 21st Century, and approximately five years ago spearheaded the agency’s interactive division. She continues to be very passionate about the interactive world, and finds it consists of some of the most interesting, intelligent, and creative people she ever had the privilege of doing business with in the entertainment industry.
