Bio

Kenny is from Edinburgh, Scotland, and lives in Guildford, near London. He is best known for his work as Head of Audio at game developer Media Molecule the startup he joined in 2007 where he was responsible for the audio experiences in their smash hit, critically acclaimed LittleBigPlanet and Tearaway franchises. In 2015 Kenny left Media Molecule to form audio outsourcing and consultancy company AudBod, with his friends at Media Molecule as his first clients.

Before joining Media Molecule Kenny worked as a sound designer in the busy centralised audio department of Sony’s London Studio where he helped ship over ten games in a wide variety of genres on numerous platforms, and worked on many more third party and unreleased titles. Prior to this he studied music technology as an undergraduate and went on to gain an MA, with distinction, in sound design.

Kenny is a passionate and committed member of the game audio community, sits on the GDC audio advisory board, has been a BAFTA and IGF awards juror, and speaks regularly at conferences and higher education institutions around the world. In 2005 he started the website GameSound.org for those wishing to learn more about interactive audio.
