As reported in Variety, the Game Audio Network Guild (G.A.N.G.) honored the best in game audio Thursday night at the 23rd annual G.A.N.G. Awards, held at Moscone Center in San Francisco. Celebrating the industry’s most accomplished professionals, the event recognized winners across 25 categories—including music, sound design, and dialogue—for their creativity, technical excellence, and contributions to the art of game audio. Co-hosted by content creator and producer Fran Mirabella alongside voice actor Morla Gorrondona, the evening also featured standout musical performances by the TACticians from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and Rob Kovacs, known as 88bit. The nominees for the 23rd annual G.A.N.G. Awards has been unveiled! Reported by Variety, the full nomination list spans multiple categories, including music, sound design, and dialogue, among others. In addition to categories voted on by G.A.N.G. advisory board members and committees, G.A.N.G. will also honor Creative Director and Supervising Sound Designer Scott Gershin with the G.A.N.G. Lifetime Achievement award. Gershin’s 35-year career in the audio industry includes work on over a hundred titles, including franchises like “Resident Evil”, “Final Fantasy”, “Bayonetta” and “Crash Bandicoot”. CAMPBELL, California (June 8, 2023) – Bob Rice, Founder and CEO of Four Bars Intertainment, passed away on June 7th, 2023. He was 79 years old. Bob’s passion was music and marketing. He started working in the music business at age 15 as a concert promoter in Cleveland, Ohio, the birth place of rock ‘n’roll, and at 16 he ran his own record label and publishing company. After ten years as a successful entrepreneur and with several hit records to his credit, Bob moved to California to join GRT Corporation as Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Promotion.
