Anastasia contributes not only deep creative and technical skills and 3D audio expertise to every project, but also a profound respect for the craft of immersive spatial audio design.

As the Audio Director at Magic Leap, Anastasia built and led a world-class team, shipped several award-winning projects, played a key role in advancing Magic Leap’s spatial audio technology, and presented at numerous international conferences on the topic. The Last Light, an interactive storytelling experience, was honored with the Best Audio in VR GANG Award.

Anastasia also founded Hear XR, a spatial audio consulting agency where she offers her services as an audio director, developer, consultant, speaker, and educator. Her clients and partners have included The New York Times and The Royal Shakespeare Company. One of the highlights was The Dream, an interactive live theater production with the RSC. It was a massive technical undertaking involving pre-recorded audio, in-engine interactive sound design driven by motion capture,  live actor dialogue, and real-time theater mixing and cueing. The play was experienced live by tens of thousands of viewers over five performances.

Currently, Anastasia serves as Head of Audio User Interface at Aria Research, a startup developing smart glasses for blind and low-vision people. There, she draws on her expertise in interactive, real-time audio to pioneer new ways of presenting and interacting with information through sound.
