Scott Gershin has been a creative force in the film and game audio industries for over 30 years. With credits on over one hundred iconic films like Transformers One, Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio (Oscar winner for Best Animated Film), Pacific Rim, Hellboy 2, Chronicles of Riddick, Team America, Shrek, and American Beauty, He has also worked on over one hundred games as well. His body of work spans genres and mediums. Scott has worked on a number of oscar winning films, recently winning an Emmy & has earned 11 MPSE Golden Reel Awards, as well as over 30 nominations for his work in games & film, he also has gotten TEC and BAFTA nods. He was recently honored with the Game Audio Network Guild’s Lifetime Achievement Award for his groundbreaking contributions to game sound design.

A lifelong musician and sound creator, Scott’s vocal talents have brought life to beloved film characters such as Flubber, Herbie, Antie (Honey, I Shrunk the Kids), the Reapers in Blade II, the Dragon in Shrek, Kerchak in Tarzan, and Dog Fish in Pinocchio. As well as on many of the games Scott has created creatures for. After studying at Berklee College of Music, he became an early adopter of digital tools in sound design, pioneering computer-based audio editing and immersive storytelling through sound. His work merges sonic creativity with cutting-edge technology, pushing the boundaries of audio in film, games, themed entertainment and VR.

Scott is also a passionate educator and consultant, having spoken at conferences and universities across the US, UK, Japan, Costa Rica, Canada, and Scotland. He has advised over 30 audio companies, including Avid, Waves, Eventide, Lexicon, TC Electronics, McDSP, Sound Toys, Waveframe, Izotope, Krotos, Wwise, Roland, Korg, Microsoft and many others on next-gen audio technologies. Formerly at Soundelux for 29 years—where he founded and led Soundelux Design Music Group—Scott later launched Formosa Interactive, the Sound Lab at Technicolor, and The Sound Lab, a Keywords Studio, where he continues to lead innovation in audio storytelling.
