Sean Astin Elected SAG-AFTRA President, Michelle Hurd Named Secretary-Treasurer

Sean Astin has been elected SAG-AFTRA President, with Michelle Hurd named Secretary-Treasurer, marking a new chapter in union leadership. Astin, the first second-generation president (his mother was Patty Duke), called for “optimism and creativity” as the union faces industry-wide transitions. Hurd promised to “guard and grow” union resources during this pivotal time. Both ran with the Coalition 2025 slate, aiming to navigate challenges like AI, residuals, and labor rights.

Borderlands 4 Lets You Mute (or Boost) Claptrap

Claptrap lovers and haters, rejoice: Borderlands 4 now includes an audio slider to reduce—or fully mute—the iconic robot’s voice. Narrative Director Sam Winkler even wrote special dialogue for the feature, calling it “the dumbest most niche reference” he’s ever slipped in. While he jokingly pushed for a 200% volume option, the devs ultimately gave fans the power to tune Claptrap to taste.
