Greg Dixon

Bio

Greg Dixon works as Assistant Professor of Music and Sound Design at DigiPen Institute of Technology in Redmond, WA, where he teaches courses in sound design and music composition. His research focuses upon music, sound design, and implementation for video games as well as interactive music systems for acoustic instruments, sensor technologies, and human interface devices.  Greg’s work as professional recording, mixing, and mastering engineer has greatly influenced his strategies for composing music in the studio.  He holds a Ph.D. in composition with a specialization in computer music from the University of North Texas, where he worked as a composition teaching fellow, recording engineer, and technical assistant for CEMI.
His music has been released on labels including Kohlenstoff Records, SEAMUS, Irritable Hedgehog, New Adventures in Sound Art, Vox Novus, Pawlacz Perski, winds measure, Flannelgraph Records, and on his own label, noxious fumes.
