Personal Info
April
I’m a composer and a vocalist in the Bay Area. I started getting involved with writing music for games when I approached a producer at Namco Bandai and got the validation I needed to plant that seed of inspiration. Maybe I was good enough to pursue music as a career? Thereafter, I continued learning as much as I could from Berkelee Online Courses and UCLA extension about game music while I wrote concept for Namco Bandai games on their way to being green lit.
I have always been involved with music and can play just about any instrument, but I have taken a particular liking to composing on a DAW. My top 2 instruments are piano and vocals. I’m excited about the new potentials for music in games now that the interactivity and storytelling capacity is vastly improving. I can’t wait for the next gen games to present themselves.
I’m open to intense critique, collaborations, and working on any number of projects with creative promise. I could also use more composer/audio friends! The more the merrier! So please don’t hesitate to contact me.
I’m now finally writing music for mobile games. Currently, I write music for a division of experimental games by the SF company GREE.. Last Year, I also wrote a series of songs that paired with a comic book published by Image Comics, Carbon Grey.
Here is a video of a song I wrote and performed for the Carbon Grey series: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iSqEjfNgjOo
Through my recent trials, I have learned that I am very motivated by this line of work. I could get lost in it with wide eyes and a cup of tea by my side. It’s challenging, creative, and fun. If any of you out there in the gaming industry wishes to collaborate on something, please don’t hesitate to contact me 🙂
