David Housden
BAFTA and Ivor Novello nominated composer for Disney’s ‘Illusion Island’, best known for collaborations with visionary game developer Mike Bithell on the BAFTA winning Thomas Was Alone and Volume.
Drawing on his garage band days, David creates melodic, original scores for some of the most immersive new games out there. Harnessing synths, strings, pianos and augmented found sounds, his sonic palette consistently pushes the boundaries of media music, winning the TIGA award for ‘Best Audio’ for his work on ‘Lost Words: Beyond the Page’.
His recent projects include Disney’s ‘Illusion Island’ for Nintendo Switch and the reboot of the Rare cult classic ‘Battletoads’ for XBox. Currently working on Bonsai Collective’s dark bullet-hell FPS ‘Luna Abyss’, Jaw Drop Games’ dino survival-horror ‘Deathground’, and an unannounced project with Flix Interactive.
