    Bio

Eddie Marianukroh is a solo artist and a composer for video game, television and film. He currently works for The Sound Department, based in Austin, Texas and does freelance work for various clients.

A fully self-taught composer, Eddie’s fascination with music first began by listening to the works of classical composers that his mother would play on their record player during his early childhood. At the age of eleven, he began learning how to play the violin, constantly practicing during his free time, as well as performing with his school orchestra. He would eventually move on to playing the electric guitar as his main instrument at the age of fifteen. It was around this time that he began learning midi sequencing and started creating his first original compositions through recording and utilizing various DAW programs.

In 2006, he enrolled at the University of Texas at San Antonio and transferred to the University of Texas at Austin the following year. During his time at the university, Eddie molded his composing skills, began adding more instruments to his playing repertoire, and honed his audio engineering and production capabilities, while taking on various opportunities to score video games, trailers and short films. By the time Eddie graduated from UT with a BA in Psychology in 2011, he had written hundreds of compositions and gained experience in the video game industry.

Eddie composes in a wide array of styles, spanning from ambient soundscapes and solo piano pieces to a fusion of orchestral and electronic works. His music has been greatly influenced by Nobuo Uematsu, Omar Rodriguez-Lopez, Maurice Ravel, Masashi Hamauzu, Frédéric Chopin and Shiro Sagisu.

Eddie currently resides in Dallas, Texas. Passionate about composing, he regularly collaborates with other musicians, and is always interested in scoring video games and film projects.
