Kayo(Ky-yo) Williams
Kayo (Ky-yo) Williams, is a Film Composer, songwriter, music producer at Kayquarii (Ky-Quairy-Eye) Productions.
He’s served and advocated for several creative arts industry organizations, like Chicago Ideas Week, Grammy Producers & Engineers Wing and the Gene Siskel Film Center BHFF Film Festival.
His passion for music can only be described as a never-ending journey of discovery. Introduced to music at the age of 5 when my mother bought me my first instrument as a Christmas gift, by early adulthood I learned and mastered seven instruments.
During my college years, I learned to love various music styles and gained an understanding of their powerful role in cinema.
I’ve facilitated music industry discussion panels at notable arts institutions like the University of Chicago.
I’ve been an active member and advocate for the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences (N.A.R.A.S), The Grammy Producers & Engineers Wing and E.A.R.S (Engineering & Audio Recording Society).
2019- I was awarded entrance into the New Orleans Film Society Film Music initiative for composers.
