As you know, GDC and the GANG awards are coming up soon. Voting will begin on February 3rd, and the winners will be announced at GDC at the GANG awards.

GANG Student/Apprentice Contest!

G.A.N.G. is proud to announce the 9th annual 2011 Student/Apprentice Contest. This contest is an outstanding opportunity for student and apprentice members in G.A.N.G., and is a great way to advance your game audio career and get noticed. So, get your creative juices flowing and submit your best material in the competition!

There are two specific categories in the competition: Music Composition and Sound Design. Music winners will be awarded a copy of Audiobro’s LA Scoring Strings Lite (worth $500), and Sound Design winners will be awarded an indie library package from Chuck RussomFX, Rabbit Ears Audio, BOOM Library, The Recordist, HART FX, HISSandaROAR (worth more than $500)

The contest is limited to GANG members with either a Student or Apprentice (anyone who has not worked professionaly) GANG membership level.

Last year’s winners, Jeff Schmidt (Sound Design) and Courtney Johns (Composer) went on this year to do work for Blizzard, Harmonix, Pyramind and Blue Tongue Entertainment.
