G.A.N.G. Summer Summit

On Thursday July 8th, Pyramind Studios, GANG, and DTS are proud to welcome them for the 2010 edition of the annual GAME AUDIO NETWORK GUILD SUMMER SUMMIT. Last year’s event (video) was a huge success, featuring top audio directors from Sony Computer Entertainment, Electronic Arts, and LucasArts. This year hopes to build on that with yet another outstanding discussion about the field of game audio today.

G.A.N.G. Summer Barbeque at Tommy’s!

August 14th, 2010 is the GANG BBQ at Tommy’s in SoCal!

Noon until midnight! The Game Audio Network Guild is featuring the "Network" part of it’s name this August at the smokin’ hot SoCal BBQ party: open to ALL
members of the Game Audio Network Guild! GANG will provide burgers,
hotdogs, snacks, sodas and you can bring your favorite side dish/
dessert, and/or your own preferred drinks to share. Last year even
featured some delicious, catered vegetarian options!

Bring your acoustic instruments for jamming and swim trunks for the pool. Arcade, video games, pool table, foosball, slot machines & movie theatre will also be available for your entertainment. And of course there are sure to be some great raffle prizes!

Me and E3 2010 – Music Games: Not Dead Yet!

Your humble newsletter editor/GANG member, Dren McDonald, recently had the chance to head south to LA a couple of weeks back to check out E3.

Lining the aisles are over the top "booths" that bear more resemblance to Disneyland rides than to trade show booths. Audio bombardment mashups of low frequency pump, Lucha Libre wrestling, Def Jam rhymes, and chiptune melodies sit on you like a wonderful cone of chaos.
