Interview with SoundIron’s Mike Peaslee

This month our interview guest at GANG is Mike Peaslee. Mike Peaslee is the Director Of Operations and founder of Soundiron. He’s also a sound manipulation and instrument design obsessive, with a love and knack for recording anything and everything he sees.

He was co-founder and co-owner Tonehammer Inc., from its founding in late 2008 until it closed in 2011. Prior to that, he served for nearly 9 years as in-house Sound Designer for Crystal Dynamics (a Square Enix / Eidos studio), for the Tomb Raider video game franchise (Legend, Anniversary, Underworld, Lara’s Shadow, From The Ashes).

In this interview he discusses his start in sound at Cyrstal Dynamics, his obsession with recording weird stuff and how he got started. SoundIron has always been a big supporter of GANG and we’re happy to introduce you to one of the folks behind their wonderful sample libraries.
